Adult Film Company Accuses Meta Executive of Running Massive Torrent Operation

An adult film producer claims a prolific BitTorrent user downloading thousands of files from a home connection is actually a senior Meta executive.

Adult film producer Strike 3 Holdings identified a residential AT&T connection that downloaded nearly 20,000 files, including VR adult films, software, and books. Court filings reveal the subscriber is reportedly an executive in Meta’s Reality Labs division who has worked at the company for over a decade. Strike 3 is asking a California federal judge to merge this case into its ongoing $446 million copyright lawsuit against Meta, arguing the download volume looks like AI training data or hardware testing rather than personal streaming.

Why it matters: If the judge links the cases, Strike 3 can use the executive's home torrenting activity as evidence to compel Meta to hand over internal records. Meta countered that an IP address does not prove who downloaded the files, adding that nothing connects the home activity to corporate work.

Know this: This is not the first worker swept up in the dispute. Meta previously acknowledged that a former Reality Labs contractor downloaded pirated films, but maintained those downloads were strictly personal.
