JetKVM built a $39 remote management box the size of a matchbox

JetKVM just shrunk BIOS-level remote control down to matchbox size—and dropped the entry price to $39.

JetKVM announced two tiny remote-management devices: the wired JetKVM Mini ($39) and the wireless Mini W ($42). Buying a three-pack brings the per-unit cost down to $33 and $36. Instead of running a heavy Linux OS, the company re-engineered the system around an ESP32-P4X microcontroller to stream 1080p video over WebRTC and handle USB input directly on the chip.

Why it matters: Dedicated KVM-over-IP hardware—tools that let you control a PC before the OS boots—usually costs hundreds of dollars. The Mini brings out-of-band remote control down to home lab pricing while keeping features like virtual media mounting, cloud access, and open-source firmware intact.

Both models release October 26, 2026 in an aluminum enclosure with a top status display. The wireless Mini W setup runs over Bluetooth from a browser, while a built-in TF card slot lets you mount ISO images remotely to reinstall an OS.

Finally, a cheap way to fix a stuck server bootloader without leaving the couch or pulling out a monitor.
