Swap DLSS 5 into almost any game with one app

Following a major leak of NVIDIA's DLSS 5, open-source developers are building tools to inject neural rendering into unsupported games.

A new Windows app called DLSS 5 Swapper hit 1,077 stars on GitHub this week. Built by developer rakanki911, the tool automatically finds your installed games across Steam, Epic, GOG, and Xbox Game Pass to let you install, manage, or restore DLSS 5 files. It handles native DLSS titles, non-DLSS games via a DLSS5-Feeder component, and retro emulators like PCSX2 and RPCS3.

Why it matters: Injecting upscaling tech into unsupported games usually means manually dragging system files into obscure game folders. This tool automates the process across DirectX 8 through 12, Vulkan, and OpenGL, while saving backups so you can safely restore original files in one click.

The app supports 38 languages, includes optional OptiScaler integration for RTX 50 GPUs, and leaves full-drive scanning off by default.
