Slack now lets you vibe-code live dashboards directly in chat

You can now prompt Slackbot to build interactive dashboards, reports, and apps directly inside your chat channels.

Slack is rolling out Slackforce Surfaces, a feature that turns plain English prompts into interactive widgets inside your workspace, reports The Verge. You describe what you need—like a live support queue or an arcade-themed chart of AI token usage—and Slackbot builds it. The tool pulls data from your channel history and connected services like Salesforce or Google Drive, strictly using information you have permission to access. Teammates can interact with the resulting surface, comment on it, or pin it to a channel.

Why it matters: Teams lose time exporting CSVs and jumping between chat and external analytics tools. Slack chief marketing officer Ryan Gavin told The Verge that creating reports directly inside the conversation keeps everyone looking at the same live data without leaving the app.

Slackforce Surfaces is available to all workspaces with Slackbot enabled, including free accounts. Support for live data starts in October.
