One text box that turns into the exact UI you need as you type

Developer anishfn released Shapeshift, an open-source input box that transforms its interface to match what you type in real time. The repository gained 709 stars this week. It relies on TypeSafe AI's Jev model to classify intent, while local code handles the dates, math, and layout.

Why it matters: Most smart inputs force you to learn keyboard shortcuts or wait on cloud APIs. Shapeshift splits the work: AI decides what you want, and code computes the rest. It runs fully offline by default, keeping keystrokes private and fast.

Pressing / reveals 19 built-in card types, including timers, habit trackers, color pickers, and time zone converters. You can test it locally using Bun (bun dev) or try the hosted demo.
