OpenAI announced Dots, continuous AI agents powered by GPT-6 Astra that run in the background to handle long-term tasks. Each dot gets its own isolated cloud computer, connects to over 4,000 apps, and carries context across ChatGPT, Slack, and Teams. In practice, they handle ongoing jobs—like investigating Slack bugs, building apps from new designs, or preparing invoices for approval.
