The call interrupted a debate over safety calls from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Elon Musk, and Sam Altman, who have argued to slow the pace of AI development. Trump warned that slowing down plays into China's hands, and Huang agreed, telling Trump, "We’re not going to let that happen, sir."
